Azhgulov Mukhtar He was born on the 1st of May, 1922 in the village called Batyrbek, Orda district of the West-Kazakhstan region. His working way started in 1941 from the work in a village school. He was called up in the Soviet Army and fought in Stalingrad, Kaliningrad, and the 1st and 2nd Baltic Front in 1942.

In 1952 he worked in the party committee of the Karatobe village, Zhampitu district. He was a chairman of Uralsk regional consumer councils, trade unions committee in 1972-1990.  Mukhtar Azhgulov was awarded “Kurmet” orders and medals, “Order of the Great Patriotic War the 2nd class”, “Order of the Red Banner of Labor”, “Badge of Honor” 2 orders, “Order for Bravery”.  

Uralsk and Aktobe archbishop Antonii (Moskalenko Vladimir Ivanovich) He was born on the 29th of September, 1940 in Khabarovsk city. He served his military obligations in submarine of the Navy Pacific Fleet from 1960 till 1964. He studied in Irkutsk State University on the faculty of Law from 1965 till 1969. On the 27th of September 1969 he was inducted into deacon. On the 12th of October he was inducted into priest. In 1970 he was taken monastic vows with the name of Antonii and entered the Moscow ecclesiastical seminary. He graduated the Moscow ecclesiastical seminary in 1977.
He was appointed as a chief administrator of exarch and hegumen of the main Kiev Cathedral. Since 1985 he served as a bishop in Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi, vicar of the Kiev diocese. On the13th of October he was inducted into bishop. From December 1986 was appointed on Chernovitskay and Bukovinskay individual see. The bishop Antonii was appointed as reigned hierarch, after Uralsk and Guryevsk diocese formation. Thanks to archbishop Antonii was opened Uralsk women convent in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God. The number of curacies increased from 22 to 50. For the years of his service were renovate landmarks: the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, the Church of the Christ of Savior, Saint Nicolas Church in Uralsk city, and also were opened churches and prayer houses in districts of the region. Archbishop Antonii was honored many church and Kazakhstani awards. 

Machevskyi Michael Yakovlevich He was born on the 27th of April, 1919 in Odessa city. His working activity began in 1935 from the appointment as a checker of Odessa regional construction trust. In the system of Uralsk regional management he has been working since 1943.
 From 1958 he was a restaurant director in Uralsk station. Due to his activity at this appointment on the base of marginal restaurant was created huge enterprise of the advance experience with a number of 1,5 thousand employees , was built sausage and pastry departments with 2 thousand tones production release per day, and also alcohol free department and etc.
 Under the management of Michael Yakovlevich Machevskyi the enterprise was continually the winner of the city, regional, republican and All-Union competitions. For high production rate in the work M.Y. Machevskyi recieved governmental awards: “Order of the Red Banner of Labor”, “Order of Glory”. He was awarded the honor title of “Distinguished labor employee of the Kazakh SSR” in 1979. He was awarded the medal of the Labor Veteran, the ensign of the Excellence of the Soviet Trade. He was elected as MP of the Soviet of the People’s Deputies from 1982 till 1985. Michael Yakovlevich – is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded with “Order of the Great Patriotic War the 2nd class”, seven medals.

Iskaliyev Nazhameden Ikhsanovich He was born on the 5th of September, 1941 in Krasnoyarsk district, Astrakhan region. After graduating the Kazakh Agricultural Institute from 1972 till 1983, he worked as a head of Zhanubek District Agricultural Administration, as the first head deputy, as the head of the Uralsk regional agricultural administration. In 1983-1985 he worked as the first secretary of Taldukorgan district Party committee, 1985-1990 – as the first chairman deputy of Taldukorgan regional executive committee – as the chairman of the regional agricultural industry, as the first secretary of Uralsk regional party committee. In 1990-1993 – as a chairman of Uralsk regional council, and the head of the West Kazakhstan regional administration.
In the period of region management by N. I. Iskaliev 325 000m2 of buildings were put into operation, 40 kilometers of streets were coated with asphalt and modernized every year in Uralsk city. These years there were built: the largest in the district, the Baby House, children hospital, boarding-school №15, diagnostic center, and was started the reconstruction of the Park for recreation and leisure and etc.
 In 1993-1994 Nazhameden Ikhsanovich Iskaliyev held the position of the advisor of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 1994-1997 - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Ukraine and Moldova concurrently. In 1999-2003 he worked as the deputy chairman of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) executive committee from the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was the MP of the Supreme Council of USSR, People’s Deputy of USSR. He was awarded the “Order of People’s Friendship”, medals.

Kuzhekova Rosa Lukyanovna Date of birth 1939, after graduating Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin in 1962, she started her working activity as a teacher of the village school, due to great erudition, leadership skills and talent and extraordinary working capacity, in comparatively brief period she went her working way to the head of the city and regional structures. Working as the first secretary of the Komsomol regional committee, the chairman of the trade union regional Soviet, as the secretary of Uralsk city and West Kazakhstan regional party committees, Rosa Lukyanovna made a great contribution in economic and social development of the city and region.
 In difficult perestroika years, she leaded the Regional Administration of Labor and Social Protection of Population, R.L. Kuzhekova could organize real help to disabled people, pensioners, and other social groups in desperate need, and also inspired them to be confident and hope to the better future of the country. These amazing civil features she showed even after the retirement in 1995. In fact all elected, festive and public events, the activity of all charity funds are being contacted in active and direct participation of R.L.Kuzhekova. Taking part in the work of veteran organizations, she makes a great contribution in solving problems of people the senior generation, and also upbringing patriotic feelings in youth.
Rosa Lukyanovna was continually elected as MP of the city and region of the Soviet of the People’s Deputies, and also she was in the staff of the republican elective bodies. Her merit to the government, city and region and active life position was honored by two orders “the Badge of Honor”, medals, Certificate of Merits, Letters of Gratitude from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nazarbaev N.A.

Zhumagaliev Bisen Zhumagaliyevich He was born on the 22nd of December in Saikuduk village, Taipak district, the West Kazakhstan region. From 1937-1940 he studied in Furman Pedagogical School of the West Kazakhstan region, after graduating from the school he worked as the teacher in Taipak district. Bisen Zhumagaliyevich is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, was called up for military service at the end of 1942 to Leningrad front, where he was a great deputy of the political commissar of the rota in 13-rifle division, which was protecting the Pavlov Gates, and also a sniper.  He contributed with the front newspaper “On guard of the Motherland”. When the war ended from the years of 1947-1949 Bisen Zhumagaliyevich worked as propaganda and agitation department instructor of the West Kazakhstan regional committee in Kazakhstan Communist Party of Bolshevik. Since 1949-1951 –he was the deputy of the editor, and from September1951-1955 –he was the chief editor of the regional newspaper “Ekpindy kurylys” in Uralsk city. In 1951 he graduated Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin, and by 1960 he finished the Supreme Party School by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the USSR. Since 1955-58 he worked as the first secretary of Furman region in the Kazakhstan Communist Party, and since 1960-1971 – he worked as the secretary in Uralsk regional committee of the Kazakhstan Communist Party. Since 1971 Bisen Zhumagaliyevich was a secretary in Kokshetau regional committee of the Kazakhstan Communist Party.

Gapich Ivan Stepanovich He was born on the 2nd of April, 1923 in Tselinograd. In the years of the Great Patriotic War he took part in liberation of Poland, Czechoslovakia, and the Ukraine. In 1952 he worked in the prosecution department of Karaganda region. In 1956-1966 he worked in the prosecution department of the Kazakh SSR. In 1966-1986 he worked as the first prosecutor deputy in the West Kazakhstan region. He was awarded “Medal of Bravery”, “Medal for the Capture the Konigsberg”, “Order of the Red Star”, “Order of the Glory the 3rd class”, “Order of Honor”. 

 

 


Bukatkkin Pavel Romanovich He was born on the 3rd of April, 1923 in Uralsk. In1943 he was the platoon and rota commander of the 96th rifle regiment on the Central, Belarus, the First and the Third Ukraine fronts. He was in Prague when the war finished. In 1964-1996 - he was the professor of history in the West Kazakhstan Humanities University named after A.S.Pushkin. Since 2005 he worked as the head of military and history museum in the West Kazakhstan State University. P. Bukatkin was awarded “Order of the Honor”, “Order of the Red Star”, “Order for Bravery”, medal “For the Victory over Germany”, “Medal For the Liberation of Prague”.
 

 

 

Alexander Potichenko He was born on the 20th of September, 1946 in the Ozernoe village, Pervomayiskyi district in Orenburg region. His family was quite large, he began his career from rags – as an unskilled worker in the “Promstroy” administration. In 1991 he set up a company called “Altair” which is the leading construction company today in the region, durably recommended itself in the construction industry market. Alexander Andreyevich is an honor builder of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For making a great contribution into country prosperity, he was awarded the anniversary medal “Devoted to10 years Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the same medal to the 20th anniversary of the country, medal “Astana”, award pin “ Kazakhstan Healthcare”, badge of honor “Duty, Honor, Solace”, “For Solace and Charity”, distinguished award pin “the Leader of the National Economics - 2006”. He was given the government award the order “Kurmet” in 2009. Last year Alexander Andreyevich was awarded the title of “The Honorary Citizen of Uralsk city”.

Veniamin Kadyrovich Mukatayev He was born on the 1st of April, 1956 in Ivanovka village, Orenburg region. His working activity began as the fitter’s apprentice in the automobile enterprise “Uralskpromstroy”. In 1979 he graduated from mechanization faculty in the West Kazakhstan Agricultural Institute. Since 1980 he worked in the automobile system - as a mechanic, chief mechanic, chief engineer, the head of the automobile enterprise in the West Kazakhstan region. He worked in the public utilities system from 1988 till 1999. He worked at this sphere for eleven years, and he was supervising foreman, the head of administration “Gordorstroy”, the head of the city housing and utilities administration, the head of the regional housing and utilities administration, the head of Uralsk administration of “Vodokanal”. From 1999 till 2005 he worked as Uralsk Akim. Today Veniamin Kadyrovich Mukatayev is an entrepreneur: he is a head of “VodokanalStroyService” LLP.

Akmurzin Sarsen Akmurziyevich (1909-1999) He was born in Zhangala region. In 1926-1930 he worked in aul-Soviet and district executive committee. He finished the Pedagogical Technical College, Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A. S. Pushkin. He worked as a director in the Kazakh school №11. From 1938 till 1996 he worked in Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A. S. Pushkin as the senior teacher, assistant professor, Head of the Chair, pro-rector and rector of the Institute. Honored Worker of Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Excellence of the Public Education. He was awarded such orders as “Badge of Honor”, “Red Star”, “the Great Patriotic War the 1st class”.

 

 

Arstangaliyev Kairzhan Kairzhanovich He was born on the 5th of May, 1917 in Chapaev region. For many years he worked on “Zemlaychka” plant, being promoted from the worker to the shop foreman. The 9th of June, 1966 he was awarded the title the Hero of Socialist Labor.

 

 

 

 

Atoyan Petr Alexandrovich He was born on the 23rd of October, 1915 in Shakhty city. He had been a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1944. Petr Alexandrovich graduated from Leningrad military-mechanical school in 1935, and then graduated from Leningrad Institute of the metal industry in 1940. From 1935 till March 1942 he worked in the plant m/b 686, which was evacuated in Uralsk city. He worked in different positions: as a draftsman, as a technologist, as a foreman, as a chief engineer. Since 1947 he was a head of the machine engineering plant named after K.E. Voroshilov. He was awarded Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, “Order of Honor” and medals. 

 

 

Baktygereeva Akushtap She was born in 1944 in the Enbek village, Akzhaik district, West Kazakhstan region. She is a poetess, the union-member of writers in Kazakhstan. She finished the school №11 named after S.S. Seyfullin. She studied in the philology faculty of the Kazakh Woman Pedagogical Institute in 1961-1966. She started her working activity in the regional newspaper “Cisurals”. She worked in the editor offices of the republican magazine “the Star” (1970), the newspaper “Kazakh literature” (1967), publishing house “Zhazushy” (1970). In 1967 was published the first poems album “Youth”. Then were published books “Naz” (1969), “My gladness, my passion” (1971), “I dream about you” (1973), “Akkanat” (1975), “Song of the happiness” (1978), “Girl from Zhaik”, “White-winged” (1981), “Akzhelen” (1985), “Sirius” (1990), “White seagull” (2001). Poetess’ poems were included in albums “Song. Dream. Love”, “Wonderful Garden” (1980) in Russian. Award holder of magazines “Soviet woman”, “Ogonek” (1980).

Buchenko Petr Vasiliyevich He worked on the administration in economic and political work in Dzhambul, Uralsk cities. He has been retired since 1955, headed the Veteran Council.

 

 

 

 

 

Gora Alexander Alexandrovich His working activity had started in 1944. He worked as a lathe operator in Mechanical plant for many years. He was an individual painter (he presented to regional museum 4 pictures, cooperated with the editor of the regional newspaper “Cisurals”).

 

 

 

 

 

Dzhubayev Sergey Shugayevich He was born in 1939 in Kozlovo-Razbugorie village, Volodark district, Astrakhan region. After graduating from the school he entered into the agricultural mechanization of Saratov Institute, which he finished with excellence in 1962. Then he worked as the chief engineer of the state farm in Astrakhan region, from 1964 till 1967 he studied in research degree, successfully defending a thesis, Doctor of Science. Educational and Science activity of Dzhubayev S.Sh. had started in the West Kazakhstan. From 1967 till 1989 Dzhubayev S.Sh. went the way from the assistant to the rector of the West Kazakhstan Agricultural University. Since 1989 and during 11 years he ran the university. He is a professor, academician in the Republic of Kazakhstan, academic advisor of the Engineering Academy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is an author of 120 scientific works, 12 inventions and patents. For great merits in the development and formation of the Higher Education in the West region, preparing the high-quality specialists for enterprises and organizations he was awarded the title “Honorary citizen of Uralsk city”.

Esipenko Illarion Timofeyevich He was born in 1894. He had the way from the farmhand to General. Esipenko I.T. was a Hero of Socialist Labor, Major-General. He bravely fought in the front of the Civil and the Great Patriotic War. In 1934-1938 Esipenko I.T. was a command officer and a commissioner of the 46th a horse regiment, garrison commander in Uralsk city. To the regiment was complied 2 horse plants, where were bred and supplied chargers to the army. He was awarded 25 orders and medals such as 3 orders of Lenin, 5 orders of the Red Banner.

 

 

 

Ermukatova Kalida She was born in Dzhambeyta district, West Kazakhstan region. Since 1929 she worked in the meat packing plant of Uralsk city as an employee in the casing room. She worked here for 60 years. In 1989 she went into retirement. She was elected as MP of the Supreme Soviet in the Kazakh SSR from 1938 till 1957. She was a Party Veteran. She took part in elective party body and public organizations. She has government awards: Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Banner, 2 orders Badge of Honor, and medals for Valorous Labor. 

 

 

 

Zhaysan Akbay He was born on the 9th of May, 1927 in Zhympity aul at this moment Syrym district, in the peasant family of Akbayuly Dosbolat. Finishing school in Zhympity village, he entered the history faculty of Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin. He started his career in 1945 working in the district house of pioneers as a mentor combining the study at school, after finishing the institute he worked as a teacher in Zhalpaktal school, as an inspector in the Local Education Authority, as a director in Zhalpaktal school, as propaganda and agitation department manager, as the second secretary of the district committee party in Zhalpaktal district committee party, as the deputy of the district executive committee. In June 1971 he was appointed as the head of culture administration in the West Kazakhstan regional executive committee. He had worked at this position for 16 years. Since 1987 he has been in retirement of the republican significance . Being retired from 1987 till 1994 he worked as a regional department head of Kazakh culture fund. Zhaysan Akbay is an author of more than 250 articles and materials of historical publicistic content: “Ak Zhaik Rainbow” (published in Samara), “Rhythms of Ak Zhayuk”, “Narun - Kazakhiya”, “Zhansha”, “Syrym Datuly” (in Russian), “Khan Zhangir”. Zhaysan Akbay is still involved in public activity. He is the honor chairman of the public association “Parasat”, the head of the society “Sabaktastar”, a professor of the West Kazakhstan Agricultural University, the honorable professor of the institute “Eurasia”. His awards: “Order of People’s Friendship (1986), “Order of the Badge of Honor” (1966), “Medal for Labor Merit” (1961), “Medal for the development of Virgin Lands”, medal “50 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”, “Astana”, award pin “Veteran of the Great Patriotic War”.

Zhakupov Kabibolla Kabenovich He was born in 1949. He is a public officer, Doctor of Science. In 1972 he graduated from Akmola Institute of Civil Engineering. He started his working activity as an electrician in the district communication center. He worked as a foreman, as a chief engineer in the district construction enterprise, as a chief engineer of trust “Uralskkolkhozstroy”. Since 1979 worked in city and district party organizations. Since 1991-1992 he was a chairman of Uralsk city executive committee, 1992-1993 he was the Akim of Uralsk city, 1993-2000 he was the West Kazakhstan regional Akim, from 2000 till 2007 he was in charge of structure of the Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2007 he was elected as MP of Parliament in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

Zheksenbayev Shakir (1901-1988) He was born on the 28th of February, 1901 in Urda district, Uralsk region. In 1918 he voluntary joined ranks in the First Soviet exemplary Kazakh horse regiment. He was a section commander of the squadron. He has been a member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1920. He graduated from the military academy named after M.V. Frunze in 1924, and in 1932 he graduated from Moscow Military Engineering Academy. He finished the Great Patriotic War in the rank of Major General of the Engineering Corps. From 1945 till 1958 he taught in the military academy named after K. E. Voroshilov and in the military-engineering academy named after V.A. Kuybyshev. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, 4 Orders of the Red Banner and Order of the Great Patriotic War the 1st class and medals.


 

Ikonnikov Petr Stepanovich He was born in 1903 in the Mergenovo village, Chapaev district in the peasant family. He graduated from 3 grades of the parochial school. In the Civil War he fought in 25th Chapaev division in 221 regiment. From 1941 till the end of the Great Patriotic War he fought with Nazi aggressor at the First Ukraine Front as a machine gunner. He has governmental awards: “Order of the Patriotic War”, “Order of the Glory the 3rd class”, medals “For Bravery”, “For Victory over Germany”, “70 years of the Great October Revolution”. He was a worker all years after the end of the Great Patriotic War.


 
 

Ipmagambetov Amirgalii Mendigereyevich He was born in 1903 in Terekty district, Uralsk region. His father was a revolutionist and was killed in 1919. In 1919 he finished courses of agitator in Uralsk city committee (Russian Communist Party of Bolshevik), took part in liberation of Uralsk from white, and then he was sent to the emancipated districts for establishment of the Soviet power. He was the delegate of 2 comsomol Uralsk conferences and the first congress of Kazakhstan comsomol. He was the newspaper editor of “Lenin Youth”. He participated actively in socialist construction on the leading party work.
 

 

 

Kazhgaliyev Shamgon Sagaddinovich He is an Honored Artist of Kaz SSR, the chief conductor and art director of the state orchestra named after Kurmangazy. Bright, talented representative of Kazakh music art runs the orchestra of Kurmangazy from one creative step to another. Orchestra tours are successfully performed inside country and abroad.

 

 

 

 

Kamalov Sukhan Maksutovich He was born on the 21st of December, 1935 in Asan-Kuduk, Kaztalovka district, West Kazakhstan region. In 1959 after graduating geology department of Kazakh State University, he went away from the collector of geology party to the first chairman deputy of the committee of Geology and protection of mineral resources in the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1965 till 1972 he worked as a chief geologist of Geology Ministry in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He made designing and planning of prospecting surveys in the territory of the republic. At these years there were opened large reserves of the liquid hydrocarbon fields Uzen and Zhetybai. Due to his direct participation, as a chief geologist of Aktobe Expedition, large production field Zhanazhol was discovered. Beginning from 1979 he headed Uralsk oil exploratory expedition, and in 1985 he was appointed as a General Director of newly organized association of the oil and gas exploration. At this period the Karachaganak field was explored. Considering his science merits and activity in the geology, Kamalov S.M. in 1994 was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy of Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan. And in 1995 he became a Member (Academic) of Engineering Academy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Labor activity of Kamalov Sukhan Maksutovich was highly evaluated by governmental awards: “Order of the October Revolution”, “the Badge of Honor”, medals and certificates of discoverer. In 1999 he was awarded the order “Parasat”, by the decision of the city maslikhat in 2001 he was awarded the title “Honorary citizen of Uralsk city”, in 2008 was awarded the order “Bars”. He is academician of the National Academy of Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician of the Engineering Academy. Kamalov S.M. up to now takes part in solving serious scientific and technical issues in the national economy of oil and gas industry.`

Kirsanov Alexander Vasiliyevich He was born on the 23rd of December, 1898 in Kazan. He had been a member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1922. In 1926 he finished Kiev military school, and in 1949 – he finished the General Staff Academy. He was a participant of the Civil and the Great Patriotic War. He was a command officer of the rifle division guards Major General. Kirsanov A.V. distinguished himself by forced crossing of Dnepr. In the night on 28th of September, 1943 the division under his command captured the foothold and successfully reflect the enemy press. Hero of the Soviet Union Kirsanov A.V. after resignation in 1969 worked as a Pro-Rector in Belarus State University named after V.I. Lenin till 1974. 

 

 

Muldashev Kairgali Muldashevich He was born in 1921 in Dzhiekkum village, Urda district. In 1950 he graduated from the Uralsk Polytechnic Institute named after A.S. Pushkin. Since 1956 he was the head of regional culture administration, and from 1965 till 1975 he was the chairman deputy of Soviet of People’s Deputy in Uralsk city. From 1978 till 1982 he was the executive committee chairman of Soviet of People’s Deputy in Uralsk city. He was awarded medals: “For Victory over Germany”, “For Valorous Work in 100 years since the birth of V.I. Lenin”, “Medal for the development of Virgin Lands”.

 

 

 

Murzagaliyeva Marina Mukhamedovna She was born on the 7th of January, 1924. She was a worker of “Metrostroy”, she was a daughter of the freedom fighter for Soviet power in Cisurals Mukhamed Kafi Murzagaliyev. Her work is mentioned by awards: medal “For Distinguishing Labor”, bronze medals the Exhibition of Economic Achievements for success in economic development, award pin “For Active Work in Popular Control Authority in USSR”, title “Honorary Transport Builder”.

 

 

 

Mustafin Kubei He was born in 1895 in Saykhyn village, Urda district in the peasant family. He was a participant in Uralsk defense in 1919. During the Civil war he served in the first exemplary Cossack horse regiment in the 25th Chapaev division. Before 1927 he performed of the peasantry with the state farm organization, he was a worker.
 

 

 

 

 

Smagulov Nurgali Baldkbayuly He was born on the 16th of March, 1910 in Karakemer aul, Korday district, Dzhambul region. In 1933 he was a student of Law faculty in Kazan Construction University. 1st of July he worked as a prosecutor deputy in Semipalatinsk. In 1938 he was appointed as the head of criminal and court supervisor in the regional prosecution office. He worked as a prosecutor deputy in KSSR in 1941. From 1959 till 1971 he was a prosecutor of the West Kazakhstan region. He was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Supreme Soviet in Kazakh SSR, medal “for Heroic Labor”, “for Heroic Labor in the Great Patriotic War”, “Labor Veteran”, and “Honorary employee in the Prosecution”.
 

 

 

Nabiullin Zhangali He was born on the 13th of December, 1936 in Zhemisti village, Zhangala district (now Bokeyorda), West Kazakhstan region. He studied in Zhemisti elementary school, Uyalinsk seven year school, at school named after S.M. Kirov, finished Furman School. In 1960 he graduated from Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin. He had been working as a journalist for 43 years in district, regional and republican print media. He took the position of the literature adviser in the West Kazakhstan department of the Kazakhstan Writers Guild. His first works were in multi-authored album “Zhasdauren” and were printed in the print office “Zhazushy”. Author of more than 70 books. Such fiction books as: “White rain” (1967), “The tune of melody” (1968), “The truth only” (1969), “Orda is the city of valient” (1972), “The moment” (1983), “Singing years” (1986), “High tension” (1989), “Seventh fret” (1st part 2001), “Seventh fret” (2nd part 2001), “Seventh fret” (3rd part 2003), “Seventh fret” (4th part 2003), “Seventh fret” (5th part 2005). The best works were in “Anthology of Kazakh Soviet Poetry”. Since 1969 he was the Member of the Writer Guild of USSR and Kazakhstan. For useful work he was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the President of RoK. He is the owner of the title “Kyran” – man of the year 2006.

Nafigov Rafik Izmailovich (1935-2001) He is an academician, professor of Kazan University. He was born on the 15th of July, 1935 in Uralsk, in the public officer family. Rafik Izmailovich Nafigov graduated from the Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin and made a splendid career in the Science and the Higher Education system. All scientific and teaching activities were related with the Kazan State University. Since 1951 he worked as a teacher, in 1951-1954 he pursued his research for obtaining a degree and in 1954 he defended his thesis and was awarded Candidate of historical sciences. In 1966 Rafik Izmailovich Nafigov received the degree of Professor and in 1978 he got the honorary degree of Honored Scientist in Tatarstan and Russia in 1989. In 1922 he was the first historian being elected as the Academician in the Science Academy of Tatarsatan. Rafik Izmailovich Nafigov worked with youth a lot. He prepared 50 candidates and 10 doctors of science. More than 300 scientific works, educational publications and lectures were published. His outstanding contribution in historical science is appreciated a lot by governmental awards, but the most important is the honor of the scientific community and the gratitude of his students.

Rakhmetova Garifa Mazhitovna (1922-2001) She was born on the 2nd of May, 1922 in Azgir aul-soviet, Urda district, West Kazakhstan region (now Atyrau region). She graduated from the physics and mathematics faculty of Uralsk Pedagogical Institute. She had been a member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1943, in comsomol from 1938 till 1942. According to the Central Committee All-Union Leninist Young Communist League in March of 1942 she went to the front as a volunteer. Having graduated from the military school of the radio-specialist in Moscow, she participated in military engagement in Kalininskyi, North-Western, Bryansk, the 1st and 2nd Baltic, and the 1st Belarus fronts. After demobilization she had been on the leading comsomol, party and economic works since 1946. She was awarded “Order of the Patriotic War”, “Badge of Honor”, and medals “For Distinguishing Service”, “For Berlin Capture” and etc.

Rysbekov Tuyakbai Zeitovich He is a prominent scholar, Doctor of Science, professor, academician. He was born on the 25th of July, 1947 in Akkol village, Talass district, Dzhambul region. He was a rector of the West Kazakhstan Agricultural University. In 1965 he graduated from the Pedagogical School named after Abai in Dzhambul with honours. His working activity had begun in Uch-Aral school as a primary school teacher. In 1971 graduating from Kazakh State University named after Kirov (now Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi), he was sent by Ministry of Higher Education Institutions of Kazakh SSR to work as a teacher of the USSR history department in Uralsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin (now West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov). Rysbekov wrote a lot of works on political and social-economic issues of Kazakhstan development, national liberation movements, development of education system and high school. He, as an author of more than 200 scientific works, among other 8 monographs and scholar aids, he is included into the database “The list of leading scientists and teachers of Higher Educational Institute of Ministry of Education and Science in RoK”. Tuyakbai Zeitovich was elected as an Academician of Humanitarian Science Academy (1995), Social Science Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1996), Baltic Pedagogical Academy(1996), Social and Pedagogical Science Academy (Moscow 1997), International Science Academy of the High School (1997), as a Member-correspondent of Petrov Academy (2003), Informational Support Academy (2005), High School Academy of Kazakhstan (2006), International Eurasian Academy (2007), Political Council Member of International Eurasian Movement (2004), Rectors Council of the Ministry of Education and Science in RoK (2005), Rectors community center of European Universities (2006), magazine winner “Messenger of Kazakhstan High School” (1996), as an award holder of “Akikat” republican magazine (1997). University association of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded him the title “Excellent Author” (2004). T.Z. Satayev Zekesh Sataevich He was born on the 15th of September, 1926 in village-aul №3, Karatubinsk district. He started his working activity in 1942, when the Great Patriotic War had begun. As a 16 year old young man after finishing seven year school in Uralsk, where he went to study, having arrived from village-aul №3, Karatubinsk district, Uralsk region, he worked in plant №231, evacuated from Leningrad, as a fitter apprentice. He mastered the fitter specialty quickly, became the highly-skilled master – the fitter of the 6th category. In 1947 he was appointed as a shift master and then as the head deputy of the machine assembly department. In 1957 he was a head of the department. In off-work hours he graduated from Alma-Ata Industrial Technical College specialized in cold metal work. Satayev Zekesh Satayevich developed many appliances for increasing labor production, the quality of production release, advancing the safety. In 1963 he was appointed as the director of Uralsk Mechanical Plant, from this postition he went into retirement. He was a MP of the city Soviet Deputies of Workers, the member in bureau of the City Committee, regional party committee. Being retired Zekesh Satayevich worked for a few years in the City Council of War and Labor Veterans. In 2001 he was awarded the title “Honorary citizen of Uralsk city” for his personal contribution into local metal-working industry in Uralsk city, for development of the city infrastructure, and mechanization of the agriculture.

Safin Khamza Abdrahmanovich He was born on the 22th of September, 1925 in Uralsk. From July, 1941 he began to work in Uralsk sheep-fur factory as a metal worker, stocker, and machinist of the power plant on the factory. In December, 1942 as a 17 year old young man, according to comsomol instructions he became the cadet of the military field school, from this place he was sent to South-Western front, then he fought on the 2nd Baltic and the 3rd Belarus fronts. In February of 1946 because of his wounds and disability he was demobilized. In 1949 he graduated from the construction school, then later he graduated from Higher Engineering Courses of the Architecture and Construction Academy in USSR, Advanced Training Faculty in construction of Moscow engineering construction institute named after V.V. Kuybyshev. He worked from the foreman to the head of the construction trust. In years of the development of Virgin lands he worked as the head of construction administration in the West Kazakhstan regional agricultural administration. He took direct part in the development and formation of the base of the city and region construction industry, in construction of the first main facilities in Uralsk construction infrastructure. Working for 10 years as a chairman deputy, he was responsible for development and construction of big social facilities. Being retired “For special Merits of the Republic of Kazakhstan” since January 1992, he had worked for 16 years as a chairman of the regional society of disabled people. For participating in the Great Patriotic War, and for labor and public activity he was awarded “Order of the Patriotic War the 1st and 2nd class”, “Order of the Red Star”, “Badge of Honor”, medal “For Bravery”, and 20 other medals. In 1967 he was awarded the title “Honored Builder of Kazakh SSR”.

Seitov Sagingali Seitovich He was born in 1917, in Kuraylisaysky aul, Akzhayk district, Uralsk region. In 1947 he graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai language and literature faculty. He was a participant of the Great Patriotic War. He worked as a research scholar in Kazakh branch of Science Academy USSR, instructor of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, as the director of Kazakh state political printing office, as the chief scientist officer of the Language and Art Institute named after Auezov. He is a candidate of philosophical sciences. He was awarded the “Order of the Red Banner”, and other medals. 

 

 

Semenov Petr Nikiforovich He was born in 1903. He enrolled the Russian Communist Youth Union in 1920. From the moment when he entered to Comsomol, he took active part in its work, leading the comsomol group in the village called Revolution in Uralsk district. In October ,1921he entered Red Army as a volunteer, he was a soldier in troop (the party of the especial assignment) for fighting with banditism. P.N. Semenov was the delegate of the 8th conference of the Central Committee All-Union Leninist Young Communist League and 1st conference Communist Party of Kazakhstan, where he was elected as a member of the Central Committee. In 1923 according to the instructions from the Governorate Committee of Comsomol he arranged the first group of pioneers in Uralsk. In 1924 he was appointed as a chairman of Governorate Committee. When the war began he went to the front. In 1983 he was awarded the title “Honorary citizen of Uralsk city”.

Suunshaliyev Khangali Zhumashevich He was born on the 5th of December, 1918 in Taipak district, Uralsk region. He has been a member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1944. He has been the participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was the Brave protector in Moscow. Since 1942 he has begun the teaching activity in the Republican Pedagogical Institutes. Suunshaliyev is an outstanding scientist, writer, experienced teacher, professor. His name and works are well-known within republic. He is awarded “The order of the Red Star”, and 7 medals.

 

 

 

Chesnokov Nikolai Grigorevich He is a famous journalist, local historian, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, retired Colonel, he has more than 20 awards. He was born on the 31st of May, 1925 in Uralsk. He studied in Uralsk Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a journalist, chief editor in the regional newspaper “Cisurals”, regional television and radio broadcasting company. Chesnokov Nikolai Grigorevich is an author of a lot of local historian works dedicated to the Cisurals history, which were published in local and republican publishing offices, such as “Uralsk – 350 years”, “At the brink of expanded Russia”, “Streets leading into the history”, “I was accepted great”, “On domes is one hundred shines”, “Massacre. Famine”, “Rhymed prose of life”. Nikolai Grigorevich is a prize winner of International Prize for great intelligent contribution to the literature-creative, internally-patriotic activity for researching and propaganda of the city history, he was awarded the title “Honorary citizen of Uralsk city”.
